Authorize Users to an SSO Application

Users are implicitly denied access to applications, so after you connect an application to 探花大神, you need to authorize user access to that application. You can authorize user access from the Application, Users List or User Groups pages. 

Prerequisites

To successfully authorize users to an application, make sure the application integration or bookmark is configured, and:

  • If using SSO, the application is configured, active, and the Single Sign-On Active (green) is displayed
  • If using SCIM, make sure the Identity Management integration has been configured and the Identity Management Active (green) is displayed

Via the Users List page

  1. Log in to the .
  2. Navigate to USER MANAGEMENT > Users.
  3. Select the users you would like to add to the group.
  4. Click Actions > Add to User Group.
  5. Select Add to an existing User Group.
    • You can also create a new group by selecting Create new static User Group from selection 
    • Name your new group and click Add x users
  6. Select the group and then click Add x users.

Via the User Groups page

  1. Log in to the .
  2. Navigate to USER MANAGEMENT > User Groups.
  3. To create a new user group that needs to have access to the application:
    • Click (+), then select Create a Group of Users
    • Name the new user group, then select the Users tab
    • Select the users you would like to add to the group
    • Select the Applications tab
    • Select the application you would like the user group to have access to 
    • Click Save Group
  4. To grant an existing group of users access to an application:
    • Select the group of users you would like to grant access to the application
    • In the Groups Details panel, select the Applications tab
    • Select the application you would like the user group to have access to
    • Click Save Group

Via the Application page

  1. Log in to the .
  2. Navigate to USER AUTHENTICATION > SSO Applications.
  3. Browse to and select the application to which you want to authorize user access.
  4. Select the User Groups tab.

Tip:

If you need to create a new user group, see the Create a Group of Users steps in the preceding section

  1. Select the check box next to the group of users you want to give access.
  2. Click Save.
