Understand Changes to Connect Keys

We have made changes to the format of 探花大神 Connect key that admins and users need to install the 探花大神 Agent on new devices. The new format is longer and now contains information to standardize, secure, and more efficiently connect devices to orgs in 探花大神. 

The new format has the following properties:

  • Prefixed with jcc_ to allow easy recognition that it is a 探花大神 Connect key
  • Base64-encoded to make it easy to copy and paste
  • Simple JSON-encoded values

Old format example:

The new Connect key is located in the same place in the UI. The Connect key is unique to each admin or user. User-generated Connect keys are valid for one hour, while Admin-generated Connect keys never expire.

To find the Connect key in the Admin Portal:

  • Go to DEVICE MANAGEMENT > Devices.
  • From the Devices tab, click + Device.
    • For Mac, click the Mac tab and click Install via Mac Agent.
    • For Windows, click the Windows tab. 

To find the Connect key in the User Portal:

  • Click the Security tab.
  • Under 探花大神 Device Enrollment, click Generate Key.

Existing Connect Keys will remain fully functional and will not require regeneration.
