SaaS Management: SendGrid Connector

̽»¨´óÉñ® SaaS Management gives you visibility and control over shadow IT and SaaS app use within your org. Connectors detect shadow IT without adoption of a browser extension and provide a significant increase to the valuable usage and security insights.

The SendGrid Connector retrieves user information from the SendGrid API. Using periodic polling for regular updates, it captures new users to keep data accurate and up-to-date.

Prerequisites

  • You need a SendGrid account with the ability to create API keys.

Considerations

  • Based on your organization’s size, the initial collection of data may take some time, up to an hour. 

Configuring SendGrid

  1. Log in to SendGrid.
  2. Go to Settings > API Keys.
  3. Click Create API Key.
  4. Enter a Name for the API token.
  5. Select the Full Access permission level.
  6. Click Create & View.
  7. Copy and save the API token.

Important:

For security reasons, you may only see the API key once. Save it in a secure location before closing the window.

Configuring ̽»¨´óÉñ

  1. Log in to the .
  2. Go to SECURITY MANAGEMENT > SaaS Management.
  3. In SaaS Management settings, go to the Connector tab and select + Add Connector.
  1. Click the SendGrid connector.
  2. Enter the Connector name.
  3. Under API Token, paste the API key from SendGrid.
  4. Select the appropriate SendGrid API region:
    • For global users, select api.sendgrid.com.
    • For EU the region, select api.eu.sendgrid.com
  5. Click Connect and then Save Connector.
  6. You will now see SendGrid in your list of Connectors.

Note:

If permissions are accidentally removed, or if the admin who configured left your organization, the connector will stop working and you will be prompted to Reconnect.

Uninstall/Remove

  • On the Connector’s detail page, click on Delete Connector and follow the prompts.
  • To revoke the permissions granted to ̽»¨´óÉñ, delete the API key in SendGrid.
